Maneki-neko

The Maneki-neko, or "inviting cat," is a Japanese lucky charm. Its raised paw attracts luck and fortune: the left for customers, the right for money. The colors (white, black, gold, etc.) and accessories (bell, gold coin) have specific meanings. Found in shops and homes, it is a symbol of prosperity and a popular decorative object.
