This Sukajan features the Japanese Tiger, a symbol of courage and protection against evil spirits. In a masterful scene on the back, the tiger roars in a bamboo forest, with the majestic peak of Mount Fuji rising above the clouds in the background. A vivid red sun (Hinomaru) completes this composition, evoking the full power of Japanese landscapes.
The originality of this piece lies in its deep emerald green sleeves which contrast with the satin black of the body. On the front, the rising sun and embroidered bamboo leaves are elegantly recalled.
