What is a Sukajan?
The Sukajan, or souvenir jacket , is a legendary jacket born after World War II that symbolizes the meeting of American and Japanese cultures. Inspired by the personalized jackets of American soldiers stationed in Yokosuka, the Sukajan has evolved into a true symbol of rebellion, freedom, and style. Originally a military souvenir, it has transformed into a fashion icon, worn by those who want to display their independence and boldness. Our Sukajan Motif: Fūjin Raijin
Our sukajan stands out with a striking motif depicting Fūjin, the god of wind, and Raijin, the god of thunder—two mythical figures from Japanese culture.
Fūjin, carrying his bag filled with winds, symbolizes freedom, movement, and the power of nature. His dynamic lines and majestic expression convey the invisible yet ever-present force of the wind.
Raijin, surrounded by his heavenly drums, embodies lightning, thunder, and raw energy. His imposing, electrifying presence captures the formidable intensity of storms.
